I’m very sad to announce that Shane passed away around Christmas 2019. He was a wonderful, special man and I am fortunate in that he called me a friend, as I him. At the time he passed away, he had many hopes and dreams. He had 39 books ready to be published and was just waiting on the funds to order more covers so the world could read his words. Since that will never happen, I’ll leave a few words of his here, the final ones from Loud, Proud, and Draw a Crowd.
“Granddaddy Nelson took back the Dodge. He said it had filled its purpose; it had met its destiny, my destiny, and it’s time to start a new journey.”
Rest easy, Shane.
You will be missed.
